David Lawrence - Pastor

Pastor David Lawrence is a native of Leeds, Alabama. He professed faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior in his childhood and acknowledged a call to vocational ministry in high school. David and his wife, Karen, were married in 1979. They have three adult and married sons and three grandchildren. He is a graduate of Mobile College (now University of Mobile) and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. David began serving as pastor of Lucy Baptist Church in July 2005. Believing that Scripture is fully inspired by God and completely sufficient to equip us for every area of our lives, he loves preaching through books of the Bible verse by verse. He also finds joy in personal and small group discipleship and in shepherding God's people.
